aquanale 2023: International Swimming Pool and Wellness Forum celebrates its anniversary
Informative programme lined up for industry professionals
For what is now the tenth time, the International Swimming Pool and Wellness Forum (ISWF) will be hosted at aquanale, the International Trade Fair for Sauna.Pool.Ambience. The congress is organised by the event’s conceptual sponsor, the German Association for Swimming Pools and Wellness (bsw) in collaboration with the International Association for Sports and Leisure Facilities (IAKS) and the Federal Association of German Swimming Pool Professionals (BDS). With a line-up of exciting talks and panel discussions, the forum will once again serve as the link for aquanale’s diverse content.As the sector’s leading trade fair, aquanale also has a responsibility to identify emerging issues and present solutions. The topic of sustainability is currently attracting significant interest within the swimming pool and wellness industry. How can the sector be resource-efficient in its use of water and energy in the age of climate change and energy crisis? What is needed to implement this approach in areas such as the private pool segment? How are other countries, such as Switzerland, tackling such challenges?
Answers to these and other questions will be presented at the 10th International Swimming Pool and Wellness Forum, which will be hosted at aquanale from 24 to 26 October 2023. Serving as the trade fair’s umbrella brand, the forum covers everything related to water, warmth and wellness. Trade visitors will gain exclusive insights into the latest industry trends and innovations – in both private and public pool construction. During the three-day congress in Hall 7, the presentation of the diverse sector topics on the agenda will be tailored to the needs of the event’s target groups. The congress will address issues ranging from planning low-carbon pools to the new European energy efficiency standard all the way through to the question of staff shortages.
The EUSA AWARDS 2023, the European prizes for swimming pool construction, will also be presented at the ISWF. The swimming pool industry prizes have been awarded annually since 2013 by the European Union of Swimming Pool and Spa Associations (EUSA) in cooperation with the German Federal Association for Swimming Pools and Wellness (bsw) and other European swimming pool associations. The awards recognise the most beautiful domestic indoor and outdoor pools, hot tubs, spas, pools with an enclosure, and pools with an automatic cover. The prize-giving ceremony, hosted by EUSA President Bert Granderath, will take place on 24 October 2023. Another subject covered at the ISWF will be how Switzerland, the partner country of this year’s aquanale, is addressing new challenges. With the projects shortlisted for the aqua suisse Award on display, there will be an opportunity to be inspired by dream bathrooms “Made in Switzerland”.
All trade visitors at aquanale 2023 can attend the 10th ISWF free of charge. Booking is not required.

aquanale 2023: Internationales Schwimmbad- und Wellnessforum feiert Jubiläum
Informatives Fachprogramm geboten
Bereits zum zehnten Mal findet das Internationale Schwimmbad- und Wellnessforum (ISWF) im Rahmen der aquanale, Internationale Fachmesse für Sauna.Pool.Ambiente., statt. Organisiert wird der Kongress vom ideellen Träger der Messe, dem Bundesverband Schwimmbad und Wellness e.V. (bsw), in Zusammenarbeit mit der Internationalen Vereinigung Sport- und Freizeiteinrichtungen e.V. (IAKS) und dem Bundesverband deutscher Schwimmmeister e.V. (BDS). Mit spannenden Vorträgen und Podiumsdiskussionen bildet das Forum erneut die inhaltliche Klammer der Messe.Als Leitmesse trägt die aquanale stets auch die Verantwortung, aufkommende Themen und Herausforderungen zu identifizieren und Lösungsansätze zu präsentieren. So beschäftigt das Thema Nachhaltigkeit die Schwimmbad- und Wellnessbranche aktuell besonders. Wie lässt sich in Zeiten von Klimawandel und Energiekrise ressourcenschonend mit Wasser und Energie umgehen? Was bedarf es dafür beispielsweise im privaten Poolbereich? Wie gehen andere Länder, beispielsweise die Schweiz, mit entsprechenden Herausforderungen um?
Antworten auf diese und weitere Fragen gibt es beim 10. Internationalen Schwimmbad- und Wellnessforum, das vom 24. bis 26. Oktober 2023 im Rahmen der aquanale stattfindet. Als inhaltliche Dachmarke der Messe bildet es alle Themen rund um Wasser, Wärme und Wellness ab. Fachbesucherinnen und Fachbesucher erhalten exklusive Einblicke in aktuelle Trends und Innovationen aus der Branche - sowohl im privaten als auch im öffentlichen Schwimmbadbau. An drei Kongresstagen werden in Halle 7 verschiedene Themen der Branche zielgruppengerecht aufbereitet: von der Planung CO2-reduzierter Bäder über die neue europäische Norm zur Energieeffizienz bis hin zum Thema Personalmangel.
Im Zuge des Forums werden zudem die europäischen Schwimmbadpreise EUSA AWARDS 2023 verliehen. Der Preis der Schwimmbadbranche wird seit 2013 jährlich vom europäischen Schwimmbadverband EUSA (European Union of Swimming Pool and Spa Associations) in Kooperation mit dem bsw und anderen europäischen Schwimmbadverbänden vergeben. Geehrt werden die schönsten privat genutzten Innen- und Außenpools sowie Whirlpools, Spas und Pools mit Überdachung und Abdeckung. Die persönliche Siegerehrung, moderiert von EUSA-Präsident Bert Granderath, findet am 24. Oktober 2023 statt. Wie die Schweiz, Partnerland der diesjährigen aquanale, neuen Herausforderungen begegnet, erfährt man ebenfalls im Rahmen des ISWF. Es besteht die Gelegenheit, sich von Traumbädern „Made in Switzerland“ inspirieren zu lassen – zu sehen sind die nominierten Projekte zum aqua suisse Award.
