Experience the unique sauna culture yourself up close – this was possible at aquanale 2023. At the last edition, the leading trade fair has entered into a strategic partnership with the association of the Finnish sauna industry, "Sauna from Finland".

The cooperation meant that participating companies from Finland received additional visibility and support for their own export efforts on their own special area. With a broad programme, the initiative also helped aquanale visitors become more familiar with authentic, Finnish sauna culture.

Network and relax in the lounge

The heart of the special section organised by "Sauna from Finland" was a lounge as a central networking and relaxation area. "Visit Finland", with the theme "Travel & Sauna Destination Finland", were among the members and partners of the network presenting their products and services around the lounge area. The pavilion thereby reflected the values of the Finnish sauna experience – with natural materials, greenery and a clear focus on sustainability.

State-of-the-art sauna technologies

Visitors were able to experience first-hand the latest technological innovations in the sauna industry, from energy-efficient heating solutions to intelligent sauna controls and automation.

A "Guided Sauna Tour" also took place twice a day to give interested visitors an opportunity to discover more about Finnish sauna practices and the manufacturers’ products. The tour finished at the Sauna Truck in the outdoor area, where “löyly” – the traditional Finnish method of throwing water onto hot rocks to create steam – could be tried out, making for a relaxing sauna experience amidst the hustle and bustle of the trade fair.

Each day, the programme in the lounge featured a different additional theme related to the Finnish way of life.
