grando GmbH, based in Bergisch Gladbach, has been manufacturing high-quality swimming pool covers for over 60 years. The company was founded in 1924 as a joinery for shop and ship interiors. The topics of swimming pools and roller shutters were finally brought together by Robert Granderath. The inventor of the roller shutter cover developed the first fully automatic roller shutter swimming pool cover with PVC profiles in 1963.

Today, grando guarantees swimming pool owners in more than 54 countries unrestricted swimming pool comfort ‘Made in Germany’. Despite its international activities, grando has remained a manageable, clearly structured company. Flexible enough to react quickly to new requirements and personal enough to offer customers what they expect: new ideas, top quality, reliable service and personalised advice.

The unique sealing technology enables the profiles to fit perceftly to the shape of the pool. Also slopes and curves can be covered accurately.  Profiles with sealing caps and a four-chamber profile (anti-algae) are also available.
