Swimming in Atmosphere

From October 28 to 31, 2025, the exhibition SWIMMING IN ATMOSPHERE by 4a Architekten will be presented at aquanale in Cologne. Following its stops at the Aedes Architecture Forum in Berlin and the State Academy of Fine Arts Stuttgart, the exhibition will once again be made accessible to a wide audience.

Thirteen selected projects from the portfolio of 4a Architekten will be showcased. Through models, plans, and photographs, the exhibition conveys the complexity and diversity of contemporary swimming pool architecture – from school pools to thermal baths, from sports pools to wellness facilities, from energy self-sufficient swimming pools to the first indoor pool built using modular wooden construction.
