Mondex - The Soul of Finnish Sauna
Mondex – The Soul of Finnish Sauna

Fell streams, clear summer nights, calm lakes, and the scent of birch groves form the heart of the Finnish landscape – and so does the sauna. At Mondex, based in Ylivieska, we are proud to be part of this essential Finnish tradition. Whether after a long hike in the forest or a demanding day at work, true relaxation is found in the sauna – and the best stories of sauna culture are told through Mondex.

Founded in 1992 in Kokkola, Central Ostrobothnia, Mondex quickly gained recognition with its first soapstone stoves, delivering exceptionally soft steam and setting a new standard for electric sauna heaters in Finland. Since then, we have expanded our range to include both electric and wood-burning stoves, always with the goal of creating the perfect sauna experience. In 2022, we introduced Wi-Fi-controlled heaters, bringing smart technology into timeless rituals. In addition, we design and manufacture natural stone radiators, blending function with Nordic aesthetics.

Since 2016, Mondex has been part of Premec Oy, and in 2022, Premec Oy joined the Darekon Group, strengthening Mondex’s foundation for future growth. All of our products are proudly designed, manufactured, and assembled in Ylivieska, carrying the Finnish Avainlippu (Key Flag) label as a mark of local quality and craftsmanship.

Mondex combines the soul of Finnish sauna culture with decades of expertise, innovation, and sustainable design. Every heater is a balance of tradition and technology, transforming everyday wellness into a calming ritual. For us, being Finnish means cherishing our roots while continuously shaping the future of modern sauna culture.
