The powerful MTI underwater motors from BINDER not only move the classic louvre covers quickly, safely and almost silently. The drives are also ideal for a particularly elegant type of pool cover: Movable floors.
Movable floors not only save a lot of space, but also reduce the energy consumption of pools. Raising the floor completely keeps the heat in the pool and stops evaporation. This saves pool owners heating costs and water.
In addition to saving energy, movable floors also have other advantages: the pool area can be used as a terrace, for example, when the floor is raised. In this state, the movable floor also offers a high degree of safety, as nobody can fall into the water. As the depth of a movable floor pool can be individually adjusted, a swimmer's pool can also be transformed into a non-swimmer's pool for the little ones in no time at all.
MTI underwater motors from BINDER are ideal for use with movable floors. The drives achieve a high level of efficiency, reach torques of up to 1,000 Nm and are completely waterproof (IP68) thanks to the nitrogen filling. BINDER manufactures the 24 V DC motors from high-quality stainless steel (1.4571 or 1.4404) with variable flange diameters. All MTI drives are equipped with a magnetic encoder that ensures simple and precise movement to the end position.
Control system optimally adapted for use with movable floors
BINDER motors are very energy-efficient and quiet, so they do not disturb the neighbours. They can be used in water depths of up to 3 metres and can be conveniently operated with the MTN synchronised control system from BINDER. This control system is based on the standard version and has been optimally adapted, thanks to a software update, for use with movable floors, where synchronised movement of the axes is very important.
Movable floor manufacturers benefit not only from the performance of the submersible motors, but also from their compact design: the drives have housing diameters of just 90 mm to 204 mm. Up to four of the motors can be installed in a movable floor.
