Aquanale

In Germany alone there are well over 5,000 fitted swimming ponds. The trend towards natural bathing in harmony with nature is leading to continual growth in this sector of bathing pleasure. Reason enough to also focus attention on this theme at aquanale 2011.

In this connection, Koelnmesse along with the German Society for Natural Swimming Water (Deutsche Gesellschaft für naturnahe Badegewässer - DGfnB), is organizing a theme area for swimming ponds and natural pools. In addition, the 4th Cologne Swimming Pool and Wellness Forum is covering natural pools and swimming pools as a special theme.

The "Bathing in and with nature" special show in Hall 10.2 at Koelnmesse is offering visitors a genuine highlight. This is because the theme area impressively demonstrates how bathing in naturally treated water at the heart of a wellness garden can be practically implemented.

To this end, a swimming and bathing pond (swimming pond type 3)* along with a natural pool (swimming pond type 5)** will be set up in the presentation area. The presentation area will be rounded off by a wooden deck with spaciously designed patio and landscaped garden area with lawn. Members of the DGfnB will be on hand during the entire event to provide visitors at aquanale with advice. In addition, the DGfnB will also provide information in the info pavilion right at the heart of the landscaped area about the two pond types presented and the differences between them. In this connection, the visitors will receive diverse ideas on the possibilities of water design - starting from swimming pool ponds in private gardens, through to water gardens for hotel and wellness facilities up to public natural bathing ponds.
